Welcome to our friendly, comfortable bed and breakfast guest house in Strontian on the beautiful and unspoilt Ardnamurchan Peninsula.
‘Uircheann Righ’ is situated on our family croft in a peaceful glen, approximately one mile from Strontian village centre and from its elevated position, enjoys beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and native woodlands. We are within a short walking distance of the Ariundle Nature Reserve and the picturesque Loch Sunart is only a short distance from the property.
We are ideally located if you wish to stop-over enroute to or from the Isle of Mull and Isle of Skye, and for longer stays, we are an excellent base from which you can enjoy exploring the surrounding area and our wonderful peninsula.
Our accommodation welcomes cyclists and, for your convenience, we offer bike wash facilities, bike storage and a clothes-drying area.
‘Uircheann Righ’ Bed and Breakfast accommodation comprises of two spacious, well equipped ensuite bedrooms, ‘Sanna’ and ‘Corran’, which are furnished with luxury quality touches to make your stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. All rooms have wi-fi enabled flat-screen televisions and free wi-fi access. We can also offer a twin room, ‘Dalilea’, which adjoins ‘Corran’, to accommodate families or a party of three/four (please note however that there are no ensuite facilities within Dalilea therefore the ensuite facilities within Corran would require to be shared).
Our guests have exclusive use of the upper floor of our bed and breakfast accommodation. There is also a communal area which offers a selection of reading material with ideas of places to visit and information on local attractions; local maps of the surrounding area; board games and a small shared fridge are also provided for the use of our guests. We are also on hand to offer you any advice on places to visit or cycle routes in the area.
To start your day, a breakfast buffet is served in our spacious, bright downstairs lounge where you can watch and enjoy the ever-changing landscapes of our beautiful countryside. We offer daily, fresh fruits, quality yoghurts, fruit juice, a wide range of cereals, breads and Galloway Lodge high quality preserves (hand-made jams and marmalades made in Scotland). A cooked breakfast is also available on request.
Pack lunches can be prepared by prior arrangement.
During the winter months, when eating establishments in the village are limited, we are also happy to provide a simple evening meal by prior arrangement.
